Signs & Anvils Integration

YEmojis extends emoji and sprite parsing beyond standard chat into world blocks and item modification workflows.

Sign Integration

Players can place and edit standard wooden signs or hanging signs using emoji shortcuts.

How It Works

  • When a player writes ,, or :flag_us: on any line of a sign and closes the sign editor, YEmojis parses the text and updates the sign text lines.
  • Supports both the front and back sides of signs (Minecraft 1.20+ dual-sided signs).
  • Supports standard signs, wall signs, hanging signs, and dyed or glowing signs.

Example Sign Layout

Line 1: [Welcome]
Line 2: [Shop Entrance]
Line 3: :diamond_sword: :emerald:
Line 4:

Toggle & Permissions

  • Enable or disable in config.yml:
    features:
      signs: true

  • Permission required: yemojis.use.signs.

Anvil Item Renaming

Players can embed emojis directly into item display names when renaming tools, weapons, armor, or name tags in an anvil.

How It Works

  • Place any item into the first slot of an anvil.
  • In the rename text field, type your desired name including emoji shortcuts (e.g. Excalibur :diamond_sword: or VIP Crown :star:).
  • Take the completed item from the output slot. The emoji shortcut will be converted into its visual icon in the item's display name.

Toggle & Permissions

  • Enable or disable in config.yml:
    features:
      anvils: true

  • Permission required: yemojis.use.anvils.
