Configuration reference
Configuration reference
The config.yml file controls general commands, sounds, server links, messages, and selected integrations. After editing it, run /ydm reload unless a setting explicitly requires a restart.

main-menu-command: "menu"

Sounds
Map an action key used by a button to a server-side sound:
sounds:
"dm:confirm":
sound: "ENTITY_PLAYER_LEVELUP"
volume: 0.6
pitch: 1.2
The button's action-key must match the sound key exactly. Volume accepts 0.0–1.0; pitch accepts 0.5–2.0.
Server links
Server links can appear in the client Escape/Pause menu:
server-links:
enabled: true
links:
- type: DISCORD
url: "https://discord.gg/yourinvite"
- type: STORE
url: "https://store.yourserver.net"
- label: "<gold>Server Menu"
url: "menu://main-menu"
The menu://<menu-id> scheme opens a Dialog Master menu instead of opening a browser.
Messages
Messages support MiniMessage formatting and placeholders:
messages:
prefix: "<dark_gray>[<gold>DM<dark_gray>] "
no-permission: "<red>You do not have permission."
reload-done: "<green>DialogMaster reloaded."
Database block
The database configuration is reserved for future extensions and currently unused. Player statistics and leaderboard indexing are handled natively or through supported integrations. Changing this block does not currently configure an active database connection.
Reload and debugging
Use /ydm reload after configuration or menu changes. Use /ydm debug when placeholders, permissions, or requirement checks do not behave as expected; reproduce the issue and inspect the console output.
